Solitary Eternity

In my slumber
I have the clearest visions of a dimension
So familiar, so loathsome,
Yet unknown to me
Where no sun dwells,
And the moons are always full
Solitary it is, and solitary I shall be
For none have I encountered
That mirrored my being
I have traveled centuries of time to be at one
With the dismal plains of the macrocosm

That is where I belong,
Where my soul may rest
I have lost all things, my body included
What once was is now shattered to a
Thousand shards of frozen flesh
Still I search,
Gaining only wisdom which strengthens me
On my journey
Through the uncompromising cosmos
