An die alte dunkle Burg, umgeben von mächtigen Bergen, langen und kalten Flüssen. An all die andren
verschneiten Mondesnächte, in denen ich mit den Mächten der Nacht auf Pferden aus den Festungen der Burg in
die Ferne zu dem Schlachtfeld am Rande des Waldes zum Kampfe ritt. Schon aus der Ferne hörte man die letzten
Schreie unserer Feinde und die Schläge von eisernen Waffen. Überall Blut und kalte Körper.
Dies war der kampf und Sieg des Nordmannes. Kampf und Sieg für den, der am nordischen Himmel thront.

Dies sind alles uralte Gedanken, meine Gedanken an vergangene Zeiten, an Zeiten, als der Norden noch
jung, regiert von Feuer und Eis. Mein Schwert geschmiedet in seinem Feuer. Mein Schwert
gehärtet in seinem Eis...
Aber es ist vorbei und was einst war wird nicht mehr sein. Die Einsamkeit hat mich eingeholt und ich kann
nichts dagegen tun. Stille, Einsamkeit...lebe ich überhaupt?
Meine Gedanken, uralte Gedanken...
Und doch werde ich wieder kämpfen, wenn der mächtige Klang des heidnischen Hornes über
die nordischen Wälder erklingt.
