The Dreams We Used To Have

Come on don't get down, you've got a pretty face,
And that's all that seems to matter in these days
So don't have any hopes or dreams, what do they even mean?
Just do whatever your told, your just a machine
And don't bother to say thank you, just do what you do,
It doesn't make a difference to them
And don't try to do anything good, it's so misunderstood,
They've already got people to do what you should

And I find it kind of sad,
That the dreams we used to have,
Were shattered into pieces,
By ourselves

And don't go walking at night, under the beautiful lights,
There's got to be something better on your TV
And don't try to feed the poor, they don't matter anymore,
Don't you know only the strong survive?
Come on don't get down, you've got a pretty face,
And that's all that seems to matter in these days
So don't have any hopes or dreams, what do they even mean?
Just do whatever your told, your just a machine

And I find it kind of sad,
That the dreams we used to have,
Were shattered into pieces,
By ourselves
