Story Of The Year

Cover up your face as the wind bites it,
blowing frantically I stop and wonder,
"What the hell am I doing here?"
I see a group of people in the lobby
shaking hands and I'm still outside
I'm looking in and I'm wondering what I'm missing

Because of you I can't keep my head on straight
Watching from a distance I'm watching your every move
Sometimes at night I get up and listen
For a second this empty room is filled with everything but you

I'm walking down the street, can't fight it,
the urge to yell I realize my best friends are home and I'm not there
When I look into a mirror I see a picture reflecting clear
I'm feeling good cause I don't need you
I am what I am, you can't change that

Because of you I can't keep my head on straight
Watching from a distance I'm watching your every move
Sometimes at night I get up and listen
For a second this empty room is filled with everything but you

Cover up your face as the wind bites it
See a group of people in the lobby
Walking down the street can't fight it
When I look into a mirror
Frantically, I stop and wonder
Shaking hands and I'm still outside
Feeling good I realize I don't, I don't need you

Because of you I can't keep my head on straight
Watching from a distance I'm watching your every move
Sometimes at night I get up and listen
For a second this empty room is filled with everything but you
