Walkin' through the jungle just the other day
Mindin' my business and goin' my way,
When I heard a loud noise like a big stampede,
It was a bunch of wild bees comin' right at me!
All of a sudden, from out of the brush,
Somethin' big hit me like a greyhound bus
When I picked myself up out of the dust
I knew I'd been hit by a hippopotamus
Suddenly I saw this mangy creature
Man, you'd never seen such ugly features
I said what are you, I'd like to know
He grinned at me and said Honk! I'm a dodo

He just kept goin' and he shook his mane
I said man this jungle won't never be the same
I saw a screamin' ape clingin' to a vine
Swingin' through the jungle like he's lost his mind
He screamed at me and said hey have you heard?
You better turn around and run from that awful bird
